As we move into the offseason I wanted to highlight a few thoughts. The offseason is hands down one of my favorite times to make progress on the golf swing. It allows the time to focus on the process, without being too results focused. With everything comes balance, during the season we want results, during the offseason is a great time to reset and focus on the process.
OFFSEASON BEST PRACTICES
Reflect on the good and bad from the season, formulate a plan to work on weaknesses
If you feel burnout, take some time to set the clubs down. That is okay. When you choose to pick the clubs up be ready to work with a great attitude. A common break in our area is like Mid November to Jan 1. A lot of people get back into it with the new year.
If you're feeling hungry, the next 8 weeks is a great time to get work done. You can dial in technique, consider golf lessons, and get a jump start on the upcoming season.
Whether your plan is to work or rest. Have a plan. When it comes time to work, be hungry, work hard, and have a great attitude.
If you're interested in lessons, it's a best practice to reach out in advance
What now? Well.. That's up to you. What are your goals? What's important to you? Are you happy with your game? Are you ready to work? All great questions to ask. When you decide you are ready to work formulate a great plan, dial in your technique, work on your weaknesses, and have a great attitude.
Signing off for today. If you're interested in lessons please reach out! Also go Lions, it's great season to be a Lions fan. Not to rant but as a lifelong fan, it's been a tough road. Signing off for real. Take Care, Tim.
